The International Consumer Electronics Show, also known as CES, is the biggest electronics show its kind. It was initially launched by the US Consumer Electronic Association (CEA) in 1967 and boasts a long 38-year history. With terrific growth over the years, the show has quickly become one of the biggest, highest-level and most influential exhibitions of consumer electronics in the world. The show commits itself to the promotion and development of wireless and digital technologies, and it combines cutting-edge electronic technologies with the modern life style, making itself a magnificent arena for world electronic enterprises. It is here that world electronics leaders release their latest products, demonstrate advanced technologies and promote a new life style for the future. Already the world biggest consumer electronics show, the 2004 exhibition lured a total of 2,491 exhibitors from over 40 countries, including more than 30 big names. 130 thousand visitors from 100 countries and regions attended the fair; this included manufacturers, wholesalers, engineers, government officials, financial analysts and the media. It was an event that claimed the attention of the entire industry. The show has become an international venue for exchanging information, demonstrating new models, getting to know the customers better, and promoting research and development.

The exhibition places are divided as follows according to product category:

(1)Hilton Center and Hilton Exhibition Hall: international exhibitors, new products release, and seminars.

(2)North 1-4 areas: automobile electronic products.

(3)Mid 1-5 areas: audio & video products, photography devices, portable music centers, video hardware and etc.

(4)South 1-2 areas: home-theatres, satellite systems and etc.

(5)South 3-4 areas: wireless products and network systems.

(6)Alexis Garden Hotel: deluxe audio equipment.
